Office Treatments

Therapy sessions are 30 or 60 minutes, depending on what is best for each child. The fee includes direct one to one therapy for 25 or 50 minutes, a 3-5 minute session consultation with the parent and documentation of the session as is required by both insurance and the code of ethical treatment set forth by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).

6-Month Progress Reports

Each client must have an evaluation report or goal report to begin receiving services. After services have been rendered for a period of 6 months, a review of their progress and a proposed plan for the next 6 months of therapy is recommended however, entirely optional. Clients who are billing insurance should check with their insurance to see if insurance requires a 6 month progress report in order to continue to fund the services. Often times, insurance companies need to know that the child is making quantifiable progress with the money they have invested and that there is still enough delay to warrant continued services.

Annual Evaluation Report

Every year, every child is required to complete full testing to update their current levels of functioning, determine progress on goals written 6-12 months prior, establish new recommendations and set updated goals. An annual re-evaluation is recommended by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) code of ethics. This annual evaluation is not optional and is required to continue services at this office.
